This new edition of Brian Scanlan's book is published by Friends of Puke Ariki.  Unless otherwise acknowledged, all photos are from the Puke Ariki collection and celebrate the centenary of the 1907 deviation.  Built to take the railway along the coast in New Plymouth rather than through the valleys of the Central Business District. This edition commemorates the author as well as the event.
